Roll Call: Who's Reading this Blog?

Mostly for my own curiosity, but also to help see where this blog endeavor could go, I'd like to take a quick roll call of who my regular readers are.

I know for a fact that there are anywhere between 43 and 53 people who subscribe to my RSS feed... I thank you for that. I'm very flattered. What started as a site to help my students respond easily to reading assignments (in their own element so to speak) has turned into something I really enjoy doing... writing about and sharing knowledge about US History.

All I ask is for some of you, to kind of chime in with a quick note in the comments section of this post and let me know who you are... you can sign in anonymously and give me an occupation and an age, or anything you feel comfortable revealing.

Thanks for reading... and thanks for posting...

Like Adam, I am a voracious reader of history, especially US. I am interested in all periods, but probably most fascinated by the period 1754 - 1800, because this deals with the questions of how this country was invented, and how they got it off the ground, so to speak.

I'm in my late fifties, and have worked throughout my career as a software developer, project/program manager, and product manager for various high-tech products.

My name is Nate Levin. I'm a patent attorney. My age is 55. I'm also an amateur historian. I'm interested in many areas of history, and particularly the woman suffrage movement and the civil rights movement.

I organize a history group in the NYC suburbs under meetup.com. I have written and published a biography for young people of the great suffrage leader Carrie Chapman Catt. The full text is available at http://natelevin.tripod.com.

Thanks for maintaining this blog.

I am probably what might be called an "armchair historian." I don't study history as a career, but I study it out of a deep interest and a conviction that the knowledge of history is very important.

Your blog is helpful because it helps me catch up on the history of more recent times. Thank you.

I was just looking for the best history blogs, and some digging (via Blogpulse and other history blogs' blogrolls) brought me here.

I work for the Philadelphia Tourism office... and hey, we're the birthplace of America so we're all about history!

I'm 32yo and work in IT. Never was interested in history until the past year or so. I'm interested to learn the details of how our country came to be and how events have shaped where we are at today. This is a great blog. Keep up the good work.
